About

Rob Cannizzaro founded Cannizzaro Intermodal Advisors LLC in 2025 to provide advisory services to firms engaged in containerized freight transportation and related services across North America and globally.

In August 2025, Rob joined the Ocean Carrier Equipment Management Association (OCEMA), a U.S.-based association representing ten major ocean common carriers focused on operational and safety matters in intermodal transportation. In January 2026, he was appointed Executive Director of the Association and also serves as Managing Director of United Intermodal Enterprises.

Prior to founding the firm, Rob served as Chief Operating Officer of a major North American intermodal trade association, leading operations, business development, and industry technology initiatives. His career spans more than 25 years in port, terminal, and ocean carrier operations, including leadership roles in Operations, Logistics, Procurement, Vessel Planning, Equipment Control, and Risk Management.

In 2024, he was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to serve on the Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness and currently serves on the Board of the Containerization and Intermodal Institute.

Rob holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from SUNY Maritime College and an MBA from Centenary University.
